Dormaa Area Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union is a non-banking financial institution with its headquarters in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

We are advertising vacant positions for Front Desk Officers and  Credit Officers.

1.   POSITION: Credit Officer

JOB LOCATION: Dormaa Ahenkro

QUALIFICATION:

    • A Bachelor degree in business related field of study from a reputable tertiary institution
    • Applicant must have completed national service
    • Knowledge of Credit Union concept is an added advantage

SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to deliver good judgment in a steadfast manner
    • Ability to keep relevant confidential information
    • Ability to work long hours
    • Must be people-friendly

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To review loan requests
    • To evaluate the creditworthiness and risks of loans applicants
    • To contact clients to gather financial data and documentation
    • To analyze risks and recommend loan requests
    • To set up loan payment plans
    • To maintain updated records of loan applications
    • Follow up disbursed loans to ensure timely repayments.

 

2.   POSITION: Front Desk Officer

JOB LOCATION: Dormaa Ahenkro and Drobo

QUALIFICATION

The applicant must possess the following:

    • Minimum qualification-Higher National Diploma in business related field of study from a reputable tertiary institution
    • Applicant must have completed national service
    • Knowledge of Credit Union concept is an added advantage.

SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to deliver good judgment in a steadfast manner
    • Ability to keep relevant confidential information
    • Ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ and with close attention to details
    • Good listening, communication and presentation skills
    • Must be people-friendly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To provide customer service and help customers with inquiries and needs
    • To maintain documents and deal with supply management and file maintenance (e.g. membership forms, passbooks, etc)
    • To create accounts including filling of membership forms
    • To update customer information (e.g. contact persons, phone numbers, passport photographs, signatories, etc)
    • To assist customers to fill deposit forms and cheques
    • To check account balances and refer passbooks to accounts officer or branch manager for reconciliation
    • To receive and refer customer complaints to the appropriate office for redress.
